It’s surprising in Cabernet-dominant Napa Valley that OKD is able to grow, in addition to Cabernet, so many different varietal wines – as many as 18! OKD – with its noticeably cooler summer temperatures and healthy alluvial soils-  is like a “sweet spot” in Napa Valley where winemakers are  able to grow a huge  range of white and red varieties – from Albariño to Zinfandel. Brightness, elegance, and balance are the typical traits of wines grown in the Oak Knoll District.
